BecauseofthespreadofNewcastlePneumoniaaroundtheworld,policiesonthemanagementandcontrolofpeopleenteringandleavingthecountryhavebeentightenedandcontrolledbetweencountries.SinceMarch28,theMinistryofForeignAffairsandtheStateImmigrationBureauhaveissuedanannouncementsuspendingtheentryofforeignerswithvalidChinesevisasandresidencepermits,butnonewpoliciesoradjustmentstocontrolmeasureshavebeenintroduced.Coupledwiththeimpactonmajorairlinesandtheairlineindustry,alargenumberofforeignershaveremainedinChina,manyofwhomwereChinesereturningtoChinaforfamilyreunionsbeforetheoutbreak.OnMarch1,theStateAdministrationofMigrationannouncedthatduringtheepidemic,foreignersinChinacanautomaticallyextendtheirperiodofstayfortwomonthswithouthavingtogothroughtheextensionprocedure.
因为新冠肺炎蔓延全球，各国之间对于人员出入境的管理控制*策均是收紧严控。就3月28日起，外交部、国家移民管理局发布公告暂停持有效中国签证、居留许可的外国人入境，至今仍然没有新的*策推出或对管控措施进行任何调整。加上各大航空公司及航空业的受到的冲击影响，至今仍有大量外国人士留在中国，当中有不少是疫情前期归国探亲团聚的华人。而在3月1日，国家移民管理局已经对外宣布，疫情期间，在华外国人停居留期限到期可自动顺延2个月，无需再去办理延期手续。

AccordingtoArticle3oftheNationalityLawofthePeoplesRepublicofChina:ThePeoplesRepublicofChinadoesnotrecognizeChinesecitizensashavingdualnationality.Article9:AChinesecitizenwhohassettledinaforeigncountryandvoluntarilyjoinsoracquiresaforeignnationalityautomaticallyloseshisorherChinesenationality.Therefore,Chinesenationalswhohavealreadyacquiredforeignnationalityandwishtoapplyforvisaextensionsetc.withinthecountrymustcanceltheirChinesehouseholdregistrationbeforetheycanapplyforforeignervisas,staydocumentsandresidencepermitsand,ifnecessary,submitacertificateofcancellationoftheirhouseholdregistrationissuedbytherelevantpolicestation.
根据《中华人民共和国国籍法》第三条：中华人民共和国不承认中国公民具有双重国籍。第九条：定居外国的中国公民，自愿加入或取得外国国籍的，即自动丧失中国国籍。因而，已经加入外国国籍的华人，如果想在境内申请办理签证延期等事宜，必须在注销其中国户籍后方可办理外国人签证、停留证件、居留证件业务，必要时提交相关派出所出具的户籍注销证明。

中国公民具有下列条件之一的，可以经申请批准退出中国国籍：
Icloserelativesofforeigners
一、外国人的近亲属；
IIsettledinaforeigncountry
二、定居在外国的；
IIIThereareothervalidreasons.
三、有其它正当理由。

申请方式
Theapplicationshallbemadebythepersonhimself/herselfattheExit-EntryAdministrationoftheMunicipalPublicSecurityBureau;forminors,theapplicationshallbemadebythefather(mother)attheExit-EntryAdministrationoftheMunicipalPublicSecurityBureau;iftheparentsaredivorced,thelegalguardianofthechildshallbepresentattheapplication.
由本人到市公安局出入境管理局申请;属未成年人的，须由父(母)到市公安局出入境管理局申请;如父母离异的，须由小孩的法定监护人到场申请。

三、申请人已和外国人结婚或在国外已获永久居留资格的，提交结婚证明或国外永久居留资格证明（复印件）。IVIfachildborninamixedfamilyappliesforwithdrawalofChinesenationality,heorshemustsubmithisorherbirthcertificate,acertificateofmarriagebetweentheparents,identitydocumentsofbothparentsandacopyoftheforeignsettlementcertificateoftheChinesefather(ormother).
四、中外混生儿童申请退出中国国籍，须提交本人出生证明，父母结婚证明、父母双方身份证件和中国籍父（或母）亲的国外定居证明复印件。VIfachildofChinesenationalityadoptedbyaforeignerappliesforwithdrawalofChinesenationality,heorshemustsubmitanotarycertificateofadoptionandcopiesoftheidentitydocumentsofbothoroneoftheadoptiveparents.
五、被外国人领养的中国籍儿童申请退出中国国籍，须提交领养公证书和养父母双方或一方身份证件复印件。VISubmitotherdocumentsthatthereceivingauthorityconsidersrelevanttotheapplicationforwithdrawalofChinesenationality.
